Privacy Policy

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your business name, email address, and password (encrypted).

Testimonial data: When your customers submit testimonials through your collection page, we store their name, optional title/company, written feedback or video recording, and star rating.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles this securely on our behalf.

Usage data: We may collect basic technical information (IP address, browser type) for security and troubleshooting purposes.

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to enable core site functionality (such as Stripe checkout). We do not currently use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We use collected information to: provide and operate the service, process payments, communicate with you about your account, and display approved testimonials via the embed widget you install on your website.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (database and file storage) and hosted on Vercel. Video testimonials are stored as media files associated with your account.

Our service providers (Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Vercel) may process data in the United States and other countries. By using our service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

We use the following third-party services to operate SimpleTestimonials:

• Stripe (payment processing)
• Supabase (database and authentication)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Vercel (hosting)

Each of these providers has their own privacy practices governing data they process on our behalf.

We do not sell your data or your customers' testimonial data to third parties. Testimonials you approve are publicly displayed via your embed widget, as intended by the service.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion; we do not sell personal information. Your customers submitting testimonials may also request deletion of their submitted testimonial by contacting you or us directly. SimpleTestimonials is not intended for use by individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate, after which it will be permanently deleted.

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
